Terms of sale

1. Who we are

Guides on this website are written and published by Smitco LTD, trading as Smitco Analytics, based in the UK. You can contact us at info@smitcoanalytics.co.uk.

Checkout, payment and delivery are handled by Gumroad. Gumroad acts as the merchant of record: it sells the guide to you on our behalf and collects any VAT or sales tax, so Gumroad’s name appears on your receipt and card statement. Gumroad’s own terms also apply to the checkout.

2. What you are buying

Each guide is a digital download (a PDF). The page count, format and contents are shown in the guide’s description and preview. You will need a device that can open PDF files.

3. Prices, tax and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and do not include VAT or other sales taxes. Where tax applies, Gumroad adds it at checkout based on your location and shows the total before you pay. You can pay by card or PayPal through Gumroad’s secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.

Gumroad processes payments in US dollars, so your card statement may show a converted amount, and your bank may charge a currency conversion fee.

4. Delivery

After payment, Gumroad emails you a receipt with a link to download the guide straight away. If it hasn’t arrived within an hour, please check your spam folder, then email us and we’ll make sure you get it.

5. Your right to cancel and refunds

Guides are digital content made available immediately after purchase. By completing your purchase, you agree that the download is made available straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download begins. This is permitted under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

This means refunds are not offered for change of mind. If the file is faulty, won’t open or isn’t as described, email info@smitcoanalytics.co.uk and we’ll send you a working copy or put it right. This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Licence: how you may use a guide

When you buy a guide you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use it within your own business. You may print copies and fill in the checklists and trackers for your own use. Please don’t resell, share, upload or redistribute the guide or any part of it.

7. About the information

Guides give practical, general information in good faith and were accurate when published. Search engines, AI tools and platforms change often, and no particular result, ranking or recommendation can be guaranteed. Guides are not legal, tax or financial advice.

8. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure, up to the price you paid for the guide. We are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Updates to guides

We may update guides from time to time. Where we publish a corrected or updated edition within 12 months of your purchase, we are happy to send it to you on request.

10. Your information

We use your details only to process your order and provide support, as explained in our Privacy & cookies page.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
